Add a little storybook charm to your planner with the Hobonichi 2027 Yumi Kitagishi Pencil Board, featuring three whimsical illustrations created especially for the A6, A5, and Weeks sizes.

A Hobonichi Pencil Board slips underneath the page you are writing on to create a firmer, smoother writing surface. It helps keep your pen from slipping and reduces writing pressure and indentations on the pages underneath. Made from lightweight Yupo synthetic paper, each board is thin enough to tuck easily inside your planner and can also be used as a bookmark.

Each size features its own Yumi Kitagishi illustration, filled with the colorful, hand-drawn details and picture book quality her work is known for:

A6 | In the Room: Two cats enjoy a colorful room filled with favorite things, including clothing, furniture, and stuffed animals.
A5 | In the Garden: A cheerful gathering of animals enjoying time together in the garden, complete with a table full of cake.
Weeks | Animal Condo: A charming red-roofed apartment building filled with an assortment of unique animal residents.

One edge is marked in millimeters for use as a ruler, while the “Today” tab at the top makes it easy to mark your current page.

Hobonichi 2027 Shipping & Pickup Information

Expected Arrival

Our 2027 Hobonichi collection is shipping to us directly from Japan, and we are currently expecting it to arrive sometime during the first week of September. Because international shipping and customs timing can vary, we are not able to guarantee an exact arrival date.

Free Local Pickup

Local pickup is available at both our Fircrest/Tacoma and Gig Harbor locations.

Once the Hobonichi collection arrives, our team will begin processing pickup orders as quickly as possible. We will email you as soon as your complete order has been pulled, packaged, and is ready for pickup. Please do not come to pickup until you have received your pickup-ready email.

Pickup hours at both locations are:

Monday through Saturday: 10am-6pm
Sunday: 12pm-4pm

If your order includes items located at more than one Paper Luxe location, additional time may be needed to transfer everything before your order is ready.

Shipping Orders

Hobonichi orders will begin shipping within a few business days of the collection arriving at our shop. Orders are generally shipped via USPS or UPS.

Standard shipping is $7.50 within the USA, with FREE standard shipping on orders over $99.

You will receive a shipping confirmation and tracking information as soon as your package is on its way. Once an order has shipped, delivery timing is controlled by the carrier and delivery by a specific date cannot be guaranteed.

Orders Containing Hobonichi + Other Products

If your order includes both Hobonichi items and products that are already in stock, your entire order will be held and shipped or prepared for pickup together once your Hobonichi items arrive.

If you would like your currently available items sooner, we recommend placing them as a separate order.

International Shipping

We do not currently offer international shipping.

Expedited Shipping

Because we do not have a guaranteed arrival date for our incoming Hobonichi shipment, we cannot guarantee expedited delivery for pre-ordered Hobonichi items.

Sold Out or Unavailable Items

Hobonichi designs and collaborations can sell out quickly, and restocks are not guaranteed. In the rare event that we are unable to fulfill an item from your order, we will contact you as soon as possible and issue a refund for the unavailable item.
