The cover features Yamazakura, or mountain cherry, one of Makino’s most celebrated botanical drawings. Originally published in 1900 in the first volume of his Flora Japonica, the illustration captures the branches, petals, and structure of the cherry blossoms in remarkable detail.
Inside, the notebook features Hobonichi’s thin and durable Tomoe River paper with a 3.7 mm graph grid, the same grid size used in the Hobonichi Techo Original. The grid color changes between red, blue, green, and purple throughout the notebook, making it easy to divide your notes into sections or quickly find past entries.
