About the Workshop:
With instruction from local mindfulness instructor and artist Kristi Fischer of Kristi's Rocks and Dots, participants will receive instruction on painting a beautiful 4" planter.
For this workshop, we will be diving into the art of mandala dot painting. Each person will receive a 4" pot that has been base coated and is ready to dot. Kristi will guide everyone through the dotting process and everyone will leave with a beautiful pot ready for a new plant friend. Multiple paint color options will be available.
Once your pot is painted and mostly dry, you'll be able to select one plant from an assortment to pair with your new pot.
Kristi's dot painting workshops help people tap into the power of creativity and mindfulness to cultivate an enjoyable experience that can help balance out the pace of modern-day life. Participants leave her workshops feeling calm, inspired and refreshed! All levels of experience are welcome.
What You'll Learn:
You will learn the meditative art of dot/mandala painting, and how this style of art is the perfect way to practice mindfulness. You will learn how to use each tool, and how to work with the proper paint consistency for dotting.
What's Included:
- Each participant will receive one 4" pot that is prepped and ready to dot, along with a variety of paint color options.
- A worksheet of instructions on dotting technique and the pattern you will be using.
- A varnish will be sent home with each participant to seal the finished piece once it is completely dry.
- Light refreshments
EVENT POLICIES
- All ticket sales are FINAL. Tickets are transferable to another person, but NOT refundable or exchangeable. While we know life happens, unfortunately, due to the cost of pre-purchased materials and instructor fees, we simply cannot offer refunds or credits.
- If we do not have a minimum of 6 people registered for the workshop, we will need to cancel and refund your registration fee. We do ask that participants under the age of 12 be accompanied by a registered adult at all times.
- We do occasionally take photographs and video at our workshops for sharing on social media and our website. If you are not comfortable with this, please let us know ahead of time and we will respect your wishes.
About Your Instructor:
Kristi Fischer is a yoga, meditation and mindfulness instructor, and an artist. She has a passion for helping people find an internal balance and foster creativity through practices of art, movement, and mindfulness. After spending a good majority of her career in the fitness and wellness industry, Kristi began her art journey about seven years ago and realized the immense benefit that creativity brought to her life. Having already studied the power of mindfulness and meditation, dot painting has become an integral part of her life, and she truly loves sharing this with others.
About Your Venue:
The Kindship Studio is our newly renovated event and studio space in the building adjacent to our Gig Harbor Paper Luxe store. It is nestled between 9Round and Greenhouse Restaurant.
