My name is Dawn Marie Ambuehl-Sadek. For the past ten years, I have made all natural, organic, aromatherapy bath, body, and beauty products for sale on Etsy and at local markets.

My quest for products gentle on sensitive skin began nearly at birth when my mother discovered that disposable diapers (and numerous other “safe for baby” products) made me break out in hives. Growing up, I found that my skin reacted negatively to numerous convenient products like laundry detergent, shampoos, and cosmetics. My body responded to perfumes, strongly scented cleaning products, and candles in my environment with nausea and headaches.

As an adult, I learned that carefully researched essential oils offer those of us with strong sensitivities an alternative to the chemical compounds used in mass produced perfumes and the artificial fragrances and synthetic preservatives in cleaning products. At the same time, essential oils are not federally regulated, and there’s a lot of misinformation out there.

When I had my first child, I became even more committed to creating a safe environment for myself and my family. I started making my own skincare products in my kitchen and later made gifts for my friends and coworkers. When I was eight months pregnant with my second child, a bride and her bridesmaids to whom I gave such gifts suggested I start selling on Etsy.

The first things most people notice about my products are the subtle, soothing smells and pronounceable ingredients. My products are made with natural and organic ingredients and careful consideration of specific physical, physiological, emotional, or psychological concerns. When I sell in person or teach a workshop, it is my pleasure to educate my customers about those ingredients so they are better informed.
