A Dracaena marginata is often referred to by its common name, Madagascar Dragon Tree. The plant got its nickname because a dracaena marginata is native to Madagascar and is related to the dracaena draco which means dragon dracaena.
Light: Dracaena marginata can survive in low light situations, but it slows down the growth rate and reduces the size of new leaves. A medium to bright indirect light location is best.
Water: Allow the top half of the soil to dry out a little between waterings. When the surface of the soil is dry to the touch – water the Dracaena marginata plant thoroughly and allow the excess water to exit through the drainage holes.
